Trains

On Friday last week my wife, kids, and I went to downtown Fayetteville for the "Trick or Treat events" they throw at the shops. The streets were lined with children both sides of Hay Street, fully crammed with children dressed in every fiendish ghoul and witch costume you could imagine. The kids had a great time Jacob was running around like crazy getting all the candy he could. Brooke she is still a little young and wanted to be carried most of the time. After all of that activity, we loaded back up into the car and headed back home and ended up driving right passed the downtown train station as a train was rolling by. This made my sons day, I have to say it made mine to. No matter how much he loves trains and sometimes how annoying it can be, I love making him happy and showing him the interesting things in life. One day he will probably grow out of trains and find other things to capture his imagination, but for now trains are his love. He might end up being a Train Engineer, probably not but the little things I can do for him now will help him as he gets older and becomes a teen. If I can keep him interested in these kinds of things maybe I can keep him from being a lazy teen that just sits there playing his video games and texting all their buddies.
